4 18 1/10 1519 7,000 block of Granada, Clayton Twp Responded for a CO at a apartment complex. E21 & C2 responded. On arrival, contact with the caller who reported the CO alarm in the basement/laundry area started going off at 0930 that day. Caller had advised maintenance who responded earlier in the day and changed the batteries in the alarm however the alarm continued to sound on and off throughout the day. E21's crew investigated the basement with the gas detector and found 10-20ppm CO throughout the basement. Apartments were also checked and found levels to be up to 15ppm. Maintenance was advised to respond back. E21 continued to investigate for the source and found when the boiler started up, the detector was reading 92ppm CO and the alarm in the basement sounded. Maintenance tech shut the gas off to the boiler. E21 crew then notified all residents in the building of the findings and that maintenance was going to work on it, they were asked to call us back if the alarm sounded again. Sgt. 5 2 1/11 1527 5,000 block of Duffield Rd, Flushing Dispatch AMA to Flushing for a residential structure fire. Requested from Central hydrant location and received confirmation back that there were no hydrants in the area. T23 with 1 and was cancelled en route by IC Capt. Greg Warning (R) 6 4 B
6 12 1/11 1850 1 Dragon Dr, Swartz Creek Responded for a automatic fire alarm at the SC High School. The A/C stated that the trip was a duct smoke detector. Investigation found nothing showing on arrival. A keyholder was requested. Crews and staff checked the whole building and did not find anything out of the ordinary. 7 2 1/14 1923 300 block of W. River Rd, Flushing Dispatched AMA to Flushing for a structure fire. E22 & E12 responded. Both engine companies rotated through RIT and conducted
extensive overhaul.

On scene SC C1 assumed command and found the fire contained to the stack of a wood burner. GAF C3 on assumes IC, SC C1 assumes OP's. E12's crew checked for extension, T23 was canceled. 11 1 1/19 1035 2,000 S Van Vleet Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched to a residential structure fire with AMA from Flushing Fire and Gaines Fire. C2, E21, T23, E12 & E11 responded. First arriving unit reported a working fire in a garage that was attached to a single-story single-family dwelling. E21s crew to stretch the cross lay to the garage to start extinguishing from the exterior, T23 established water supply. C-2 requested a 2nd Alarm that brought to the scene Flint Twp, Mundy Twp, Venice Twp, and the City of Durand. Arriving crews stretched a second cross lay off of E-21 to the interior of the structure. 12 18 1/20 2022 1,000 block of S. Seymour Rd, Clayton Twp Responded to a report of a CO alarm activation, with caller reporting being dizzy.  E21 responded. 17 18 2/4 0608 4,000 block of Roundhouse Dr, Swartz Creek Dispatched to an odor investigation. E12 responded. Upon arrival owner indicated door as unlocked and apartment was on the third floor. Crew was sent in to investigate and identify odor. Odor was not smoke or natural gas. Crew had difficulty identifying odor. Crew began evacuating odor by opening doors and windows. 18 17 2/4 2129 3,000 block of S Morrish Rd, Clayton Twp. Dispatched to assist Clayton PD to search for a person that was last seen at 1920. C4, E12, E21 & S16 responded. C4 had foot crews search the woods to the southwest of the dispatch location and the field directly west and had S-16 to do a 2 mile perimeter search for the missing person. Sgt. 2 radioed the missing person was located in the woods directly across the field west of the AFC home @ 2250. C4 requested an ambulance to the scene to do a medical check on the person found. 19 18 2/7 1848 7,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for an odor of natural gas near the meter on the back of the building per a passerby. C2 & E12 responded. Investigation found a slight odor of natural gas near the meter. No visible leak or blowing/hissing was present. E12 was canceled and C2 requested that CE be notified. Assist. 20 2 2/7 2159 600 block of Terrace Dr, Flushing Dispatched for AMA with Flushing Fire for a structure fire. E22, E12, and C-4 responded to the incident. Engine 22 and Engine 12 personnel stood by in staging. C-4 was assigned as the Operations Officer. Fire was knocked down and under control by Flushing Fire crews. E22 assisted Flushing Fire with loading hose on their Engine(s). E12 cleared the scene to standby at Flushing Fire's fire station. C-4 assisted Flushing Chief 1 with fire investigation. Batt. While en route, PD reported a fully engulfed fire. C1 reported smoke from 5 miles away, requested a 2nd box alarm. On scene arrival reported 1 story and a 1/2, 50% involved and 2 vehicles fully involved. Through extensive overhaul, crews were able to extinguish the fire. 51 10 4/3 1529 4,000 block of Fredrick St, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a report of a unauthorized burn in the city limits. C1 & G17 responded. Investigation found resident burning a recently cut pine tree. Resident was advised of city ordinance and the fire was allowed to burn itself out. Chief Dave Plumb (C,R) 8 3 1
52 10 4/3 1752 7,000 block of Corunna Rd, Clayton Twp. Dispatched to a grass fire in the area of Corunna and Elms. The fire was reported by the Flint Twp. PD who were working an accident scene at the corner and saw the smoke. C1, G27, G17 & S16 with B1 responded. Investigation found a property owner conducting open burning and the fire got out of control due to the windy conditions. The fire spread to open area to the west and caught the wood privacy fence on fire on the storage property. The owner and several neighbors were assisting with extinguishment efforts, however none of them called the fire department. G17 extinguished the fire by accessing the property from the south in the subdivision. The manager of the fence that was damaged was notified. Assist. Chief Steve Tabit (C,R) 7 3 2

54 2 4/7 1016 9,000 block of N. Seymour Rd, Flushing Dispatched to Flushing AMA on a residential structure for. Report was there was a large explosion in the basement, blew all the windows out and smoke coming from the basement. C1, E22, E12 responded and was canceled prior to arrival. 55 10 4/7 1344 9,000 block of Norbury Dr, Swartz Creek Dispatch to the area for a report of a grass fire. C1, G17 & G27 responded. Investigation found a approved bun site, but the size of the burn exceed allowances. Permit holder was advised not to burn any further this day, divide the piles into managaeble sizes and to add dirt to put some the fire out. Chief Dave Plumb (C,R) 6 3 1
56 10 4/7 1524 5,000 block of S. Seymour, Swartz Creek Further complaints of smoke required dispatch back to the location of incident #55. C1, C2, E12, E21 and S16 responded. Crews laid a 1" 3/4 line in S16 and drove back to extinguish both burn piles 1200 ft off the road.  Permit was revoked and permit holder worked with the County Drain Commission with an alternate means to dispose of the trees and roots. 57 3 4/7 1718 100 block of Saginaw St, Gaines Village While clearing incident #56 crews were dispatched to respond AMA to Gaines Village on a residential structure fire. C1, C2, E12 and T23 responded. Crews assisted in the ICS, fire extinguishment, over haul and water supply. Crews stayed on scene until the fire was ut cleared by Gaines Twp IC. On scene investigation found a heavy odor of burning plastic in the building. Odor dissipated after investigation. C1 arrival within 5 minutes of dispatch to find a 115x32 Vehicle Service building fully engulfed in flames with fire through the roof. A 2nd alarm eas requested. 244 1 12/29 1853 4,000 block of Windsor Ct, Swartz Creek Dispatched with AMA from Flushing and Gaines for a commercial structure fire. On arrival heavy smoke was found in the hallway. Further invesstigation found an oven fire and the fire was out. Investigation revealed that the kitchen cabinets above the stove were on fire and the occupant extinguished the fire. All responding apparatus and AMA with the exception of E12 were canceled. E12's crew was assigned to ventilation and overhaul. Assist Chief Stephen Tabit (C,R) 8 2 B
