9 1 01/20 0442 9,000 mile of Beecher Rd, Clayton Township Responded for wires down, across the road. On scene, with CTPD, live wires, from a pole breaking off at the base, caused wires also pull off the side of the house. During investigation, the owner reported they smelled something burning, so AMA from FFD & GTFD was dispatched. Further investigation found no smoke in the house. AMA was held at their stations.  With E21 on scene, with 6, utilized the TI to cancel all incoming SCAFD units.  After removing the wires form the road way, the owners were assisted with checking the structure after a generator was set up.  With the TI, it was determined a power strip had caused the smoke smell and was disconnected. On scene, a fire was discovered above a fireplace, which extended into the attic. The roof was ventilated and the ceiling pulled to extinguish the fire. E21, T23, E11, E12 & S16 responded.
