Investigation found a kitchen fire that the occupant put out with a fire extinguisher. Investigation found three breakers were tripped in the circuit panel box. Since we were unable to determine the source of the electrical problem and/or isolate it, the main to the house was shut off. 29 13 2/11 1425 Beecher Rd/Morrish Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a entrapment, E21, E11, and R1 responded. Upon arrival, EMS was already on scene providing PT care. Once they gave the all clear, LT Bower and E11's crew extricated the PT by removing the drivers door using the spreaders and cutters. EMS and FD then removed the PT from the car. R1 responded and was advised by GCCD that this was a false alarm and the alarm company advised the system should have been in test more. All other apparatus was cancelled. Assist. 33 12 2/15 0306 8,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a commercial fire alarm indicating water flow from the dry system. C1, C2, E12, E21, 22 responded. There was audible and visual alarm going off on the exterior of the building, but no smoke or flames visible. Investigation found no fire but there was water pouring from the ceiling. The suppression system was shut down and crews used brooms and shovels to move as much of the standing water as possible out through the garage door and assisted with general clean up and took several loads debris to the dumpster. R1 & E-12 on location verifying that it was a false alarm due to testing the fire alarm system. C-4 left the incident with Sgt. 14. Crews remained working on scene until released by Flint Twp IC. While on location several Fire Alarms were tripped in close proximity to the fire. Investigation found hard wired smoke detectors, approx 15 yrs old with no sign of smoke or fire.  Resident advised to purchase new hard wired detectors because of the age of the current ones. 45 1 3/16 1657 2,000 block of N. Sheridan Ave, Clayton Twp Dispatched with AMA from Flushing, Gaines and Venice for a residential structure fire. E21,E22,T23,R1,E12,E11 and C1 responded.E21 and Flushing C1, 1st arrival reported light smoke showing. Further investigation found fire contained to the basement, with heavy smoke throughout the structure. E21 arrival stretched a 1 3/4 line in the garage door down to the basement. Crews reported heavy smoke conditions with a small amount of fire. T23 supply to E21 on arrival. 46 18 3/18 18:05 4,000 block of Virgina Ct, Swartz Creek Dispatched for an odor investigation. R1, C2 and E12 responded. Investigation with the gas meter on the exterior was functioning normally. Investigation in the basement revealed a very slight odor of what may have been natural gas, however the furnace and water heater were all operating normally. Investigation found only a slight haze and odor of smoke. All mutual aid units were requested to stand by at their stations, while the SCAFD units continued to conduct the investigation. Crews assisted with search, ventilation, as crews were clearing incident were directed for a 2nd possible commercial structure fire in the 3,000 block of Lindenlane, E12 & C1 investigated and found it to be a steam vent. 60 16 4/14 1738 8,000 block of Calkins Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for Arcing wires. E21 & C4 responded. Investigation found a secondary line down across the road down from pole to pole. 61  4 4/15 1711 11,000 block of M21, Lennon Dispatched AMA to Venice Twp on a residential structure fire. C1, C2, Lt10, E22, E12 & T23 responded. C1 assumed operations, C2 & T23 assumed water supply, Lt 10 and E22/E12's crews began interior operations. Due to the high speed of winds, all crews were pulled from the building. Crews worked defensive operations until the bulk of the fire was extinguished by Corunna Ladder and then crews resumed interior operations until released by Venice IC. Chief Dave Plumb (R) 8 8 B

63 12 4/17 2334 4,000 block of Kroger Dr, Swartz Creek Dispatched to a commercial fire alarm activation with water flow. E12, R1, & E21 responded. R1 arrived to find nothing is showing but audible and visual alarms going off. After investigation, the fire alarm activated due to a malfunction of the air compressor. The fire alarm was silenced, but unable to reset the fire alarm to normal due to the malfunction. Sgt. 3 noted audible smoke detectors, with a strong smell of smoke throughout the second floor. Contact was made with tenant who had fallen asleep making food. 68 13 4/29 1328 Lennon Rd/Seymour Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a vehicle entrapment. C2, C4, R1, E11 & E21 at Seymour and Lennon. Crews arrived to find a 2-vehicle crash with both vehicles involved. It was determined the accident was not an entrapment. 71 9 5/5 1008 EB I-69 @ Miller, Swartz Creek Dispatched to EB I-69 just west of Miller Road exit for a grass fire. C4, E11, G27 & R1 responded. Units arrived in the area and deemed it was unfounded, . While returning to the stations, G27 was investigating a possible garbage truck on fire on EB I-69 just west of Morrish Road exit. All units enroute to that location. G27 advised that it was coolant, no fire. All units canceled and returned to their respective stations without incident. Batt Chief Brendt Cole (C,R)      
72 9 5/9 1109 Morrish & Corunna Rd, Clayton Twp Dispatched for a grass fire C2 ,E11 ,S16 & G27 responded. C2 along with Grass 27 arrived to find a grass fire covering an area about 30’ X 50’on the NE corner of the intersection. Grass 27 operated from the shoulder next to the fire and I positioned R1 east of the incident in the shoulder lane of Corunna Rd to provide traffic safety. 73 10 5/9 1433 6,000 block of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a recreational fire. R1/C2 & E11 responded. C2 arrived to find a recreational fire in an open fire pit in the back yard. There were sustained winds with gusts to over 30 mph, homeowner was advised that the fire needed to be extinguished. Assit. Chief Steve Tabit (C,R) 2 5 1
74 3 5/9 1523 9,000 block of Farmtree, Gaines Twp Dispatched AMA for a structure fire in Gaines. R1/C2, E12 & E22 responded. C2 1st to arrive established command and upgraded the fire to a working structure fire. After evaluating the fire conditions, a second alarm was requested. E12's crew stretched the first line to the C side of the building to knock down the exterior fire. Once hydrant water supply was established to E12, a second line was stretched into the attic space of the garage. SCAFD C2 transferred command to Gaines Chief 1 on his arrival and C2 assumed operations position. SCAFD's crew knocked the exterior fire, then advanced to the interior of the C side and began pulling ceiling to work on the attic fire and knocked the fire in the attic above the garage then moved inside to assist with extensive overhaul. Investigation determined homeowner was operating a excavator to fix a sewage line and hit the natural gas line in the process. Situation was turned over to Consumers. Chief Dave Plumb (C,R) 2 2 2

82 3 5/15 1919 10,000 block of Morrish Rd, Gaines Twp Dispatched AMA to Gaines Twp. for a residential structure fire. C2, E121 & T23 responded. Suppression teams conducted a transitional attack and knocked down all visible fire from the exterior. When it was safe to do so, crews entered the first floor from the A side of the building while another crew entered the second floor via an exterior stairway on the C side of the building to bring the fire under control. The homeowner had already shut off all breakers / power to the house prior to the Fire Department arrival. On arrival crews found a tractor pulling a corn planter and ammonia tank slid off the road while turning into a driveway. All tank valves were closed and the tank was not leaking. A 360 investigation found it to be an exterior fire on the deck, that had not extended into the structure yet. E12 stretched through the B side yard to the rear to extinguish the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished with water carried,E11's crew was assigned to check all levels of the home for extension and locate the breaker box for inspection. The power lines were approx. 8 to 10 feet off the ground still intact. The power lines affected were pole to pole and pole to house. 134 18 8/5 0929 5000 block of Birchcrest, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a CO alarm C2, R1 & E12 responded.  The CO alarm was kept in a kitchen cabinet and went into alarm. The CO alarm was moved from the kitchen cabinet to the basement near the furnace and water heater, and the A/C was turned on prior to our arrival. Investigation reveled that the detector was new in 2018 and had not alarm since being removed from the cabinet. Upon investigation it was found the basement had 25ppm of CO throughout with the highest readings around the water heater. LT7 turned off the water heater and S16 was requested with the electric fan from to clear the CO from the basement. All readings in the house were 0ppm at the time of fire units clearing the scene. As the investigation continued it appeared that the building was not on fire. It was determined there was an issue with overloaded breakers. Crews arrived to find an area of woods on fire about 500 X 200 feet in size. G27 stretched 500 feet of forestry hose and controlled the southern flank of the fire, while B1 and B2 controlled the norther flank.
