10 1 01/29 1511 7,000 area of Timberlea Ct., Clayton Township Responded to a pole building fire, with AMA from FFD & GTFD.  E21, E11, T23 & S26 responded.  The fire was quickly extinguished by the first in attack crew.  Damage to the building was isolated.  All the equipment in the building had minimal damage. 11 12 02/01 0917 Ida Ct., Swartz Creek Dispatched to a commercial fire alarm at Mari-Miller Farms.  On scene it was determined an alarm company was working on the system.  E11 was cancelled on Miller Rd. Batt. Chief Jack King (C)

13 18 02/04 2216 Miller Rd. east of Elms Rd., Swartz Creek Dispatched to same location as run 12.  On scene it was confirmed to be the same problem.  CE was contacted by 911.  911 was requested not to dispatch the FD for the same situation, unless deemed necessary by the SCPD. 17 10 02/05 1213 8,000 mile of Corunna Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a burning complaint.  The caller report a person starting a fire with gasoline and left the scene.  E21 & E11 responded and extinguished the fire.  The matter was turned over the CTPD for further resolve. 19 2 02/06 1520 400 block of Deland Rd., Flushing While stand by during alarm 18, AMA for FFD was dispatched.  E21 & E12 responded.  On scene, the situation was declared under control, so E12 was cancelled.  A torch was being used thaw pipes in the crawl space, causing some insulation to catch fire. 21 2 02/08 1813 9,000 area of Saddle Horn Dr., Flushing Township Responded as AMA to assist the FFD with a potential structure fire.  The fire was confined to a stove, with smoke through out the house.  E21 was cancelled before arrival. Asst. Chief Eric Merriam (R)
22 1 02/08 1830 4,000 mile of S. Sheridan Rd., Clayton Township As alarm 21 was concluded, a dispatch was received for a potential structure in a manufactured home.  AMA was received from FFD, GTFD & VTFD.  On scene size up determined a fire had started in a kitchen stove, but was confined to it.  All AMA was cancelled.  E11, E21, T23, S16 & S26 responded. Morris Rd., Flushing Township Dispatched as AMA to assist the FFD with a fully involved structure fire.  T23, E21 & S16 responded.  T23 wasn't utilized because of hydrants in the area.  Other departments utilized included Montrose, & Maple Grove.  Mt. 28 5 02/20 2238 1,000 area of River Forest Dr., Flint Township Responded to a request from the FTFD to stand by during a structure fire at their station 1.  E21 responded with 6.  At 2349, E21 was moved up to the scene to assist with overhaul and the placement of their units back in service. 29 6 02/17 2242 4,000 mile of S. Sheridan Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a vehicle fire, close to a manufactured home, reported by a passer by.  On scene, it was reported the fire was confined to the passenger area.  E11, E21 & E12 responded.  E11 extinguished the fire.  E21 provided personnel.  E12 was positioned at a near by intersection, but later cancelled. 31 1 03/06 1346 11,000 mile of Potter Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for a structure fire at a vacant house, with AMA from FFD, GTFD & VTFD.  On scene, smoke & flames were reported coming form the 2nd floor & gable end area.  E21 on scene pulled a gripper pack load to the rear of the house & a 2nd line to the front entrance.  T23 supplied water while E11 set up draft.  Hazelton & Montrose were called, but later cancelled. 32 1 03/06 1401 1,000 mile of N. Nichols Rd., Clayton Township While participating in alarm 31, another alarm was received for another structure fire.  FFD & GTFD were redirected to that location.  It turned out to be a stove fire & report out.  No SCAFD units responded and there was not damage to the structure as the fire was confined to the stove. 33 8 03/08 1152 1494 S. Seymour Rd., SCAFD station 2, Clayton Township Responded to a report of a garbage truck on fire at Morrish Rd. & Corunna Rd.  The final location was behind station 2.  The garbage trucks load was on fire, so it was dumped in the rear parking lot.  E21, T23, E11 & S16 responded.  The hauler brought in dumpsters & a bobcat to remove the debris while personnel extinguished the fire. 35 7 03/15 1830 WB I-69 between Morrish Rd. & Elms Rd., Swartz Creek Responded to a report of a vehicle rollover with potential fire without entrapment.  On scene, it was determined the vehicle had rolled over 6 times in the passing lane and came to rest blocking both lanes.  E11 checked for injuries, while E12 block traffic.  Crews stood by until the vehicle was removed. 36 9 03/17 1343 1,000 mile of N. Duffield Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for a grass fire.  On scene size up determined there was fire along a creek bank on private property.  The owner and employees were in the process of extinguishing the fire.  The owner advised IC not to proceed on his property with any fire trucks.  Back pack water & brooms were used.  Grass 27 & 17 responded. 37 9 03/17 1608 2,000 mile of S. Sheridan Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of a field fire.  On scene size up determined trash was being burned in a barrel.  The wind caused the fire to spread to about 1/2 acres of tall grass.  Grass 27 & Grass 17 extinguished the fire.  Squad 26 assisted with personnel. 38 3 03/18 1228 7,000 mile of Grand Blanc Rd., Gaines Township Dispatched as AMA to assist the GTFD with a potential structure fire, report by a Mundy Township Lieutenant.  The location was the same as an early morning training burn.  Before any SCAFD responded, GTFD Chief 1 cancelled all units. 40 3 03/19 0426 9,000 mile of S. Duffield Rd., Gaines Township Dispatched as AMA to assist the GTFD with a structure fire.  E12 & T23 initially responded.  Personnel assisted with extinguishment & overhaul.  Later, S16 responded to assist. Chief Brent Cole (R)
41 1 03/24 0915 1,000 mile of S. Morrish Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of pole building on fire, with AMA from FFD & GTFD.  On scene size up revealed 3/4 of the 112' x 32' pole building was already consumed with fire.  Defensive suppression was used to control the fire.  Hand lines were later used for overhaul.  E21, E11, E12, T23 & S26 responded. 42 9 03/27 1312 10,000 mile of Potter Rd., at the RR tracks, Clayton Township Dispatched for a grass fire along the RR tracks.  On scene, it was determined the fire was just north of the tracks.  FFD was contacted via phone.  We were advised, because the fire was small, to just extinguish it.  G27 & G17 responded.  The fire was extinguished with water packs & brooms. 43 9 03/28 1830 1,000 mile of N. Morrish Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of a grass fire.  Investigation determined the fire was contained by the owner, as a result of a wind pick up and shift.  All units were held at their stations. Asst. Chief Eric Merriam (C-R)
44 9 03/30 1249 7,000 mile of Potter Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for a grass fire.  FFD originally was dispatched to the location.  Because of the size, we were also dispatched.  With approx. 1 1/2 acres on fire, Grass 27 & Grass 17 responded to the end of Northfield Circle to protect building exposure.  FFD assisted with personnel and their ATV. 45 2 03/30 1716 9,000 mile of Pine Bluff Dr., Flushing Township Responded as AMA to assist the FFD with a potential structure fire.  Before arrival, all SCAFD units were cancelled. Chief Brent Cole (R)
46 6 03/31 1158 At the SE corner of Corunna Rd. & Sheridan Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a PI entrapment with vehicle fire.  Heavy black smoke was visible from Corunna Rd. & VanVleet Rd.  On scene, size up reported a fully involved Mustang with possible fatality, with was later confirmed.  VTFD was also dispatched to the scene.  They arrived first to start extinguishment.  E21 assisted with extinguishment.  E11 arrived on scene to assist with overhaul. VTFD & SCAFD units remained on scene to assist Shiawassee Deputies with blocking traffic.  E11 & S26 shut down Corunna Rd. at Duffield Rd. Chief Brent Cole (C-R)

47 15 04/02 1717 Corunna Rd. at VanVleet Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of a vehicle fire.  On scene size up determined there was not vehicle fire. Vehicle fluids were present.  Once the vehicle was loaded by the wrecker, absorbent was applied with the product removed the damage vehicle.  E21 responded with 4. Chief Brent Cole (C-R)

50 12 04/07 1817 9,000 mile of Miller Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a group home fire alarm.  On scene investigation, both visually & with the Thermal Imager, revealed nothing.  One resident was injured during evacuation.  E11, E21 & S16 responded.  The alarm company was contacted to resolve the defective alarm. Sheridan Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of a vehicle fire next to a residence.  Before arrival, 911 upgraded the alarm to a potential structure fire, with AMA from FFD, GTFD & VTFD.  On arrival, IC reported the fire under control, & cancelled AMA.  E11, E12, E21, S16, S26 & T23 responded. 54 11 04/14 2215 The intersection of Beecher Rd. & Nichols Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for smoke investigation.  On scene, a strong odor of evident, but unable to locate, no flames were visible.  After investigating the area, the situation was terminated.  E21 & E11 responded. 55 1 04/15 1344 6,000 mile of Bristol Rd., Swartz Creek Responded to a barn fire with AMA from FFD & GTFD.  On scene size up determined there were at least 2 locations the fire was set.  E11 & E21 provided extinguishment while E12 established a 2nd hydrant.  S16 & S26 also responded. 58 1 04/16 2215 6,000 mile of Bristol Rd., Swartz Creek Responded to a report of a barn fire, with AMA from FFD & GTFD, as reported by the SCPD.  The location was the same as alarm 55.  E11, E12, E21 & S16 responded.  A small amount of fire, left over from the previous alarm was extinguished without deploying a hand line. 60 12 04/19 1929 10,000 mile of Miller Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of a commercial fire alarm, with smoke in the building.  Before arrival, 911 reported the alarm to be false.  Investigation determined burnt pop corn was the cause of the alarm.  All apparatus were held at their stations. 61 9 04/21 1459 1,000 mile of McKinley Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for brush & grass fire out of control heading for a metal building.  G27, G17 & S26 responded.  Landscape timbers & cardboard were being burned when the wind picked up, spreading the fire along a fence row.  After the fire was brought under control, the owner was advised not to burn that type of material in the future. 62 10 04/21 1533 5,000 block of Fairchild Dr., Swartz Creek Before clearing alarm 61, 911 reported an open burn in the City of Swartz Creek.  Tones were reactivated for additional personnel.  E11 responded.  The occupant was advised of the no burning ordinance while he was extinguishing the fire. 64 5 04/22 1153 At the intersection of M-13 & Corunna Rd., Venice Township Dispatched, soon after VTFD, for a possible entrapment.  While responding, communication with VTFD reported the incident was on their side and all SCAFD units could cancelled. Chief Brent Cole (R)

66 15 04/27 1342 7,000 mile of Miller Rd. (at 2nd St.), Swartz Creek Dispatched to a gas tanker truck spill while off loading to underground storage tanks.  A connection came undone, causing 300-400 gallons of gas to flow down the street into the storm drain system.  The Genesee County HazMat Team was dispatched for assistance.  Soil was used to help stop the flow of produce into the storm drain.  AFFF foam was used to prevent vapors from igniting.  The Michigan DEQ was notified & Young's Environmental was contacted for clean up.  E11, E12 & S16 responded.  At 1545, GTFD was requested for stand by at station 1 during the incident.
