Morrish Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a chimney fire, with AMA from FFD & GTFD.  Before arrival, the owner advised 911 that he thought the fire was out.  AMA was instructed to stand by at their stations.  Units on scene investigated the situation, removed the burning debris in the fire box, set up PPV & laddered the roof to inspect the chimney.  E11, E21, E12 & S16 responded. 3 16 01/02 1807 8,000 block of W. Maple St., Swartz Creek Responded to a report of arcing wires.  Consumers was notified.  While returning, a tree had fallen on non electrical wires.  Because of the hazard, the tree was removed.  E11 responded. Batt. Chief Jack King (C)

5 13 01/09 0800 M-13, south of I-69, Clayton Township Responded to a 2 vehicle PI with entrapment for one vehicle.  Jaws were used to remove the drivers door.  E11 & E21 responded. Chief Brent Cole (C-R)
6 7 01/13 2202 5,000 block of Winston Dr., Swartz Creek Dispatched to a potential vehicle fire.  On scene, it was determined a pick up truck had hit a tree, causing the air bags to deploy.  The operator fled the scene.  There was no fire.  E12 responded with 6. Batt. Chief Jack King (C)

Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek Responded to a report of a vehicle leaking fuel at an apartment complex.  The owner was no ware to be found.  Absorbent was used.  The complex was unwilling to have the vehicle towed.  E11 responded along with the SCPD. Seymour, south of Corunna Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for a potential vehicle entrapment of a vehicle rolled over on its roof in a ditch.  Before arrival, 911 reported that all victims were out.  Chief 1 continued to confirm and advise on the situation.  All units were held at their stations.  Once confirmed and the CTPD arrived on scene.  Chief 1 left. Elms Rd., between Maple & Hill Rd., Mundy Township Responded to a report of an entrapment between Miller Rd. & Hill Rd.  Before arrival, 911 radioed that there was not entrapment and all SCAFD units could cancel.  E11 continued.  On scene it was determined the location was in Mundy Township.  911 didn't dispatch MTFD because there were no injuries. 17 13 02/06 1547 WB Corunna Rd., at Seymour Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a vehicle entrapment.  On scene, extrication cutters were used to removed the driver side door hinges, to remove the door.  SCAFD personnel assist the wrecker with glass & debris removal.  E21, E11 & S16 (cancelled) responded. 18 5 02/07 2245 Ramada Inn, Pierson Rd. & I-75, Mt. Morris Township Under the direction of the Genesee County Coordinator, S16 responded with 7 with personnel.  On scene, portable lighting was used with personnel assisting with extinguishment for fire originating in the kitchen area. 21 18 02/12 1907 7,000 mile of Bristol Rd., Swartz Creek Responded to a report of an electrical smell coming from the bottom of a refrigerator in a garage.  E11, E12 & E21 initially responded.  Investigation determined some insulation had blocked air circulation of the refrigerator compressor motor. 31 13 02/25 1441 SE area of Lennon Rd. & Seymour Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a PI entrapment.  On scene, 2 vehicles were in the field after the collision.  1 person was trapped, requiring the jaws, cutters & pump to be removed to the location due to the distance from the road.  The drivers side door was removed.  E21, E11 & E12 responded. 43 16 03/13 1448 2,000 area of Woods West Dr., Clayton Township Responded to a report of wire arcing.  3 minutes later, before arrival, alarm 44 was activated.  S16 was assigned to this alarm, which responded with 1.  The wires situation was report to 911 for them to contact Consumers Energy. Seymour Rd., Clayton Township While responding to alarm 43, 911 reported a large tree across the road.  Because of the hazard potential, both E11 & E21 were diverted to this alarm, while S16 handled #43.  Chainsaws were used to remove a dead tree, to the side of the road. 45 16 03/13 2042 9,000 mile of Corunna Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to wires down & arcing.  On scene it was determined that there was nothing that could be done until Consumers Energy arrived.  E21 with 5, stood by.  Once the wires were neutralized, fire in the surrounding trees was extinguished. 46 3 03/14 1836 12,000 mile of Reid Rd., Gaines Township Responded as AMA to assist the GTFD with a fully involved barn fire.  E12 & T23, with support to haul hose from S26, responded.  E12 acted as the primary extinguishment apparatus with T23 as on site water.  Additional mutual aid from Mundy, Venice, Vernon, Burns & Argentine were also initially dispatch.  Eventually, the Genesee County Coordinators were utilized. 47 3 03/15 0555 12,000 mile of Reid Rd., Gaines Township Dispatched as AMA to assist the GTFD.  Before arrival, it was reported that it was the same location as #46, and it was only smoldering from the previous fire.  All SCAFD units were cancelled.  E12 & T23 had been responding. 53 18 03/22 0843 Near the intersection of Morrish Rd., & Calkins Rd., Clayton Township. An alarm was received indicating a person could not get out of a vehicle that was in a ditch.  Before a response was started, 911 reported the person was out.  SCAFD personnel stood by until the CTPD arrived on scene to verify no response was needed. 54 6 03/23 1213 I-69 between Duffield & M-13, Clayton Township Dispatched to a vehicle fire on east bound I-69, just west of Morrish Rd.  In the area, nothing was found.  E11 continued west bound & finally arrived on scene just west of Duffield Rd.  A fully involved vehicle fire, in the median, was extinguished.  E21 assisted with the grass fires. Seymour Rd., Clayton Township Originally dispatched to the area of Elms Rd. & Beecher Rd., but was redirected to the Seymour Rd. & Beecher Rd. area for a smoke investigation.  Initially in the area nothing was found.  Further investigation found a property owner with a controlled burn.  No action was taken.  E21 responded with 4. 64 7 04/06 0307 8,000 mile of Corunna Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched to a potential vehicle on Corunna Rd., west of Morrish Rd.  On scene, it was determined a CTPD vehicle had struck a deer, causing front end damage.  Steam, mistaken for fire, was found.  E21 responded with 6, E12 responded with 3.  E12 blew a front end tire at Morrish & Corunna.  They were unable to continue and were later towed back to station 1. 65 15 04/07 1251 Intersection of Miller & Elms, Swartz Creek Responded to a request from the SCPD for a wash down of anti-freeze as a result of a 2 vehicle accident.  E11 responded with 4.  Battery cables were cut and the anti-freeze washed down. Lieut. Rich Tesner (C-R)

Bristol Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of a large open burn with heavy black smoke.  FF Barr called station 2 to report that sofa's were being thrown on the fire.  E11 responded with 5 to investigate.  Neighbors were conducting a joint burn.  The responsible person was advised he was not able to continue burning anything other than brush. 69 9 04/15 1511 11,000 mile of Corunna Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a report of an out of control field fire.  On scene investigation determined a home owner had earlier requested a burn permit.  In the process of burning, the wind picked up causing the fire the spread.  G27 & G17 responded.  S26 was later summoned to assist with personnel. 199 1 11/26 1958 7,000 mile of Calkins Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a potential structure, with AMA from FFD & GTFD.  On scene initial size indicated nothing showing.  Investigation determined there was a smoke smell in the basement, but did not activate the smoke detectors.  Further investigation determined a flower pot was used to extinguish a cigarette, without success, from a party the day before.  Thermal Imagers were used to assist in the origin of the smoldering fire.  E21, E11, E12, S16 & S26 responded. Responded to cell phone call from a passer by advising of heavy smoke crossing Corunna Rd. obstructing the vision of motorist.  On scene, it was determined (as was the case with alarm 185), that there was unattended fire at a business behind a locked gate.  The chain was cut & the leaf fire was extinguished by G27 with assistance from T23. 205 18 12/07 0521 EB I-69 entrance ramp from the Rest Area, Clayton Township Responded to a report of an S10 on it's side with spilled corrosive chemicals on board.  On scene, it was determined a semi was on it's side in the ditch, unhooked from the tractor.  Placard & shipping papers determined the product on board.  With the help of the Genesee County HazMat Team, it was determined no product had been spilled.  It was removed by Young's Environmental, after fire crews cleared the scene. 210 1 12/21 1911 12,000 mile of W. Bristol Rd., Clayton Township Dispatched for a structure fire, with AMA from FFD, GTFD & VTFD.  The occupants advised they smelled smoke before the smoke detectors were activated.  They left the structure once the detectors activated.  On scene, flames were visible from the B-C sector of the building.  E11 drove up the drive, pulled an attack line and proceeded to attack the fire on the first floor.  E21's crew assisted with 5" hose to T23 & protected a propane tank from flame exposure with a secondary line.  Roof ventilation was performed.  A 3rd attack line was placed in the basement.  The floor burned through in the B-c sector.  Fire was also in the attic, but was stopped.  Extensive overhaul was required as the attic insulation had burned the length of the residence.  A tanker shuttle was required with assistance from VTFD & GTFD.
