8 15 01/23 1940 4141 S. Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek Responded to a report of a vehicle entrapment at Meijer. Before arrival, 911 reported there was not entrapment. E11 & E12 were on scene as the cancel was received.  E21 remained at the station. Investigation determined there was a transmission fluid spill, requiring cleanup. 11 9 01/26 1640 Marker 123.5 WB I-69, Clayton Township Dispatched for a vehicle fire between M-13 & Duffield. C1 in the area reported no smoke or fire visible. E11 & S16 were advised to continue. On scene investigation determined the owner of a pickup lost his drive shaft causing a small grass fire under the vehicle, which he extinguished. Information was received & all units returned. 12 18 02/01 0032 6,000 mile of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Responded to a report of an odor of natural gas in the area. C5 responded to investigate.  It was determined a CE gas relief in the front yard may have discharged natural gas, but nothing was venting on arrival.  CE was notified. Capt. Steve Tabit (C-R) 9 2 1
13 1 02/02 1118 5,000 mile of S. Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for residential structure fire with entrapment. AMA was received from GTFD & FFD. C1 on scene reported heavy smoke in the area, with extensive fire on the first floor shortly after. E12 responded with 3, E11 responded with 2. Fire crews attempted search & rescue but the heavy fire conditions prevented a successful rescue. The fire was investigated by the State Fire Marshal. Chief Brent Cole (C-R) 6 6 B
14 2 02/06 0132 300 block of Terrace St., Flushing Responded as AMA to assist the FFD with potential apartment fire. Before responded, it was reported to be burnt food. All AMA units were canceled. Chief Brent Cole (R) 6 6 B
15 15 02/09 0400 WB I-69, at Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Dispatched for a wash down. E11 on scene reported 2 semi units & a passenger vehicle were blocking the highway with a large fuel & spill on the roadway.  E12 & S16 also responded. Traffic was diverted off I69 at Miller Rd to return back on I69.  Young's Environmental was eventually contracted by the shipper vehicle responsible for the spill to clean it up.  Alarm duration was 8.5 hours.  Gray's Towing was utilized to remove the large vehicles.  The Genesee County HazMat Team was unable to respond to do a lack of personnel available. 27 16 03/13 1804 5,000 block of Worchester Dr, Swartz Creek L9 responded to a report of a utility pole on fire on Oakview Dr.  Further investigation determined an animal caused arcing, behind a house on Worchester. 29 1 03/20 1703 8,000 block of Crapo St., Swartz Creek Responded to a reported structure fire with AMA from GTFD & FFD. C4 on scene reported a fully involved 12x12 shed. 1 3/4" line was utilized to extinguish the fire. GTFD assisted with personnel. FFD was canceled. E12, with 5, utilized a 1 3/4" crosslay to extinguish the fire. The insert had to be removed to access the fire location including opening the ceiling to check for extension. 42 9 04/16  1641 3,000 mile of S. Elms Rd, Clayton Township Responded to a report of grass fire in Cole Creek Subdivision. C4 investigation determined the fire was in the field north of the Swartz Creek City limits in the area that was previously designated a golf course.  G17, G27 initially responded.  Because of the limited access to the area, MA was requested from GTFD & FFD for their ATV's with E22 & S16.  Crews were able to extinguish the fire before MA arrived, so they were canceled. While enroute, C1, requested additional MA from Montrose, Hazelton, Venice & Vernon Townships with tankers & personnel.  On scene, a fully involved hog barn was reported. Seymour Rd., Clayton Township Responded to a residential structure fire with potential entrapment with AMA from GTFD & FFD.  C4 on scene reported an attached garage fully involved with all residents out of the building with the assistance of the CTPD & SCPD.  Additional tankers were requested from Venice, Vernon & Mundy Townships.  The fire was restricted to the garage and attic adjacent to the garage. 68 16 06/10 1641 8,000 mile of Miller Rd, Swartz Creek Responded to a report from C5 & request from SCPD to assist with traffic control.  E11 & E21 responded.  4 utility poles were pulled down on the west bound lane by a semi.  The wires were communication cable. Street lights, receiving power from across the road were also involved.   CE, Frontier and Verizon were notified. Pole replacement crews responding while traffic was re-routed to Ingalls. Capt. Before officer arrival, the alarm was updated to a structure fire with AMA from GTFD & FFD for the same location.  C4 & E12 on location determined there was not structure fire.  AMA was canceled.  Investigation determined wires from a transformer, located on the back property line, caused several residences to experience smoking outlets.  The TI was used to check all the effected homes, with nothing found.  CE was notified & assumed responsibility once on scene. 164 18 11/28 0021 8,000 mile of Corunna Rd, Clayton Township Responded to a report of an odor of smoke in the area.  C1 while responding could smell smoke at Seymour & Corunna.  On scene, the caller was concerned with a dog barking in the upstairs apartment.  Further investigation with 911 revealed numerous calls in SE Genesee County report a smoke odor.  With the the winds 27 MPH out of the SE, 911 contacted Oakland County to discover there was a working structure fire that was causing the smoke odor.
